Coping Through Covid Lockdown – Adapting Our Young Adult Carer Service

Gloucestershire Young Carers has been continuing to work hard to identify and support young and young adult carers during the lockdown.   We have done this by adapting our service delivery, adopting creative solutions, and expanding our use of technology.  This has included zoom groups with young carers, assessments and regular check-ins with families & by phone/video and online support through our website and social media.

So far we have held 77 online activities with 238 attendees, had 1473 comments with 1707 views of our content.

Hana Gill, Development Manager (Education & Participation) talks to YAC Development Worker Sarah Pinkney about how the Young Adult Carer Service has adapted to the challenges of the situation over the last three months.
