Our Corporate Partners

Optimising IT

Optimising IT challenges the traditional way IT services are delivered. We focus on providing services based on our core values of Trust, Simplicity and Respect.

We are a relationship-first IT service provider.

First, we get to know you, and then — together — we think about what’s best for your business and what we can do to help you. We don’t just sell you packaged services designed for any business that comes our way. Instead, we offer a tailor-made approach to IT applying our recommended best practices that revolve around strategy, future-proofing and growth. Think of us as your IT department, sharing those same goals for development and success that any internal piece of your company structure would.

GYC are the primary local charity Optimising IT support.  They provide a fantastic range of support to young people in the county that some of our team have first-hand experience of. We support through promoting awareness, fundraising, supporting GYC events and helping engage with a wider range of business contacts.

Managing Director of Optimising IT Todd Gifford said “We’re delighted to support Gloucestershire Young Carers as our charity of the year for a second year. The work GYC do to support local young people is inspirational and we’re proud to be a small part of that. The Optimising IT team have enjoyed taking part in fundraising activities over this last year and we are exciting to plan more activities for the coming year. It’s an exciting time to be working with the GYC team as they enter their 30th year and look towards supporting the young people of Gloucestershire for the next 30.”

We take great pride in the City we live in and it is important to us to give back to the Charities that are doing fantastic work in our area.  First connected to GYC in 2017, the team explained all the great work they did in more detail and we committed at that time to sponsor them for the foreseeable future, not only through fund raising but raising awareness and by introducing other contacts we have in the local business community. Coupled with the additional support we’re able to call upon form St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, we felt we could make a real difference supporting them and to date Alex often explains how proud he is of the Quayside Wealth Management’s team, our clients, and our professional connections efforts to support and spread the word of GYC.

Supporting local people and projects is one of the guiding principles for our business, and because we’re owned by our members, they decide who needs our help most.

The Forest of Dean Regional Community has supported Gloucestershire Young Carers for 7 years now and has donated/funded over £50,000 for the charity in this time, along with support with training, introductions, work experience, volunteering hours and much more. GYC was chosen as our Charity Partner by our Members and our team has become so passionate about supporting them that we have not been able to move on since! Each year our teams walk, run, climb, dress up, hold creepy crawlies and more all with the aid of GYC and we love it!

Spirax Sarco

We are the central, strategic, business development function ‘SBD’ for the Spirax Sarco steam business, a FTSE 100 company that manufactures and sells products and solutions for steam-using industries all around the globe, including food and beverages production, pharmaceuticals manufacture, oil and gas refining, industrial and consumer chemicals and also textiles, pulp & paper, tyres production the list goes on.

We chose the GYC after a ballot, because we wanted a local charity that was perhaps not hugely well-supported but was local, needed help, that we could fundraise for but also offer other help by mentoring, supporting careers events and giving practical help. Something we could make a difference to.
